I found it was harder to use LULU in as I have not been able to down loan my own book cover that I have used on other e book sites. Customer service is harder to contact

I’ve been publishing on Lulu since 2006 and have had no problem with them (other than my own errors in files.) Key has been using OpenOffice, which embeds fonts in the PDF’s. Recently, I’ve begun porting my books to epub and posting these through Lulu to iBookstore and B&N. Sales on Apple started immediately and are 4X what they have been on Amazon with the same files, covers, descriptions, tags, etc. And no promotion.

Another thing I like is the ability to use their shopping cart from my own website. And consistently higher royalties than most of the rest. No fees for submitting. Feedback on my epub meta-data errors is very helpful. Usually have an answer back from customer support in 48 hours or less.

Printed books are extremely high quality. Consistent color covers and deep contrast on text. Bindings are very sturdy, paper excellent.
